Not legal advice. This is starter content, not legal advice — have it reviewed by a lawyer familiar with Ghana's Data Protection Act (Act 843) and your operating jurisdictions before relying on it.

What we collect

Full name, phone number, optional email, delivery coordinates, delivery notes, and order history. Phone numbers and precise coordinates are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are never stored or transmitted as plain text outside the request that needs them.

How it's used

To create your account, route your order to a driver, let that driver navigate to you, and send you an SMS/email receipt. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with any Company other than the one you're ordering from.

Who can see your address and phone number

Only the specific driver assigned to your order, and only while that order is actively out for delivery — access is revoked automatically the moment delivery is marked complete. Even then, drivers see a masked version of your phone number and call you through a proxy rather than seeing your real number. Company staff (Owner/Manager/ Assistant) can see order details needed to dispatch you a driver.

How long we keep it

Order and receipt records are kept for accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Contact the Company you ordered from, or the platform operator, to request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to records we're legally required to retain (e.g. payment/tax records).

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Reach out to the Company you have an account with to exercise these rights.

Security

Phone numbers and precise coordinates are encrypted at rest with a key separate from the one used for lookup hashing. Sign-in uses one-time SMS codes rather than passwords. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but this is the standard we hold ourselves to.
